You Are Priceless

Pastor Mark gave a great illustration on Shabbat about how much you are worth to G-d. It is a thought we need to dwell on, as there are certainly times when we may not feel that we are much good for anything.  Of course that is far from truth! But G-d’s Word is truth, and here is what He says about you:

After going through the significance of the four cups, Pastor Mark said, No one but G-d can afford to redeem you.  Although no value can be placed on creation, there is no amount of money that could create our world and the universe. But G-d spoke, and it was done. Though we see the power of G-d’s words as we look at the world and nature and all He created.  At the same time, words by themselves cost nothing.

But it cost G-d everything to offer us salvation!

Ephesians 1:7:  In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

Luke 22:19: And He took bread, and gave thanks and broke it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you.

What are these words really saying to each of us? Though His words created all, at no cost to Him, our forgiveness and redemption cost Him His Life! And He loves you so much that He was willing to die and shed His own blood for you!

There is no greater Love. There is no greater price.

This is how incredible you are to Him!

Zephaniah 3:17: The Lord your God is in your midst, A Warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with joy; He will be quiet in His love [making no mention of your past sins], He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.
