In the tumultuous times we are living in, many believers are asking themselves where they should go to be safe. It is no doubt a thought that has gone through all of our minds. On Shabbat, Pastor Mark asked a question, Was living during the plagues a good or a bad thing? The answer?… It all depends on which side you were on. And the same answer applies today. Maybe our circumstances are going to be uncomfortable for a time, but we have read the end of the book! We know which side wins. We know that no matter what happens, our G-d is in control, and He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. As we see powers shifting and the “rules” of the game” changing, a disturbing cloud moves in to create doubts about the future and our role in that future.
The amazing thing is that our role does not change! Yeshua said, Go make disciples and teach them. It is only the world around us that is shifting, G-d’s word to us never changes. Surely, in today’s world, there are more opportunities than ever to share the good news, and to teach people why we have hope and are not afraid of the future. It is time to let our lights shine and to reflect the Light of the One who never changes, the One who loves us!
Please enjoy the following words spoken by G-d, and know that He is with us always!
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved
Psalm 34:10b Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Deuteronomy 31:8 It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
