Ki Tetze brought out more amazing aspects of the Torah (Law) and how
the Torah adds to life. Let’s look at some
general principles the Pastor Mark pulled out…..
**The Law protects life– build a fence around your roof – Deuteronomy 22:8
**Love other nations – they are our brothers – Deuteronomy 23:7,8
**If you make a vow, keep your wordas God keeps His Word – Deuteronomy 23:21-
**You may eatsome of your neighbor’s vineyard (or corn, etc) while passing by, but
don’t harvest it. Deuteronomy 23:24,25
**Remember how powerful your tongue is and use it for life– Deuteronomy 24:9
**Pay people on time who do work for you. – Deuteronomy 24:14,15
**Leave some grain at the edges of your fields for the poor to eat. –
Deuteronomy 24:19-22
**Give to charityand help widows, orphans and strangers – Deuteronomy 14: 19-22
**Take care of helpless animals, and when they are working, let them eat.
Deuteronomy 25:4
**Honor the eldersthat rule well with double honor – I Timothy 5:17,18
**Measure honestly,so everyone gets the same treatment – Deuteronomy 25:15,16
**Remember Amalek who attacked the elderly and weak and don’t be like them, but Remember to fear G-d– Amalek did not fear G-d! Deuteronomy 25:17-19
**Remember the Gentiles are honored to be grafted into the Jewishpeople –
Isaiah 54:1-3
**Remember G-d’s kindness and covenant of peace will never be removed–
Isaiah 54:5-7
And in this month of ELUL while the King is in the field, just as we would return someone’s lost animal, the King wants each of us to return to Him, and He promises,
“I will return to you.” Malachi 3:7
How Good Is Our God and His Law!!!
