Oh, Lord, America and the world are in trouble, and we your people need to repent and change our ways.
Oh, Lord, help us to return to You with all of our hearts, with all of our souls, and with all of our strength. Help us to stop putting everything before You and then giving You whatever is left over. Lord, please clear our vision of everything and help us to see only You, for You are everything!
Oh Lord, forgive us for killing the unborn, for ignoring Your Word, for ignoring the needs of others because we were so focused on ourselves. Forgive us for thinking that praying the “Sinner’s prayer” was enough –it isn’t. We must live the way You lived: You followed the Law. And we must love the way You loved: with our whole hearts.
Oh, Lord, we need YOU! Please forgive us, forgive our ease in ignoring Your warnings and most of all, forgive us for making light of You! Please give us strength to rise up and build Your Kingdom, and make each of us a stone in Your temple. Let Your light shine so that others will be attracted to that light in all the darkness and come to You. Help us to say, WE LOVE YOU.
With our lives and in everything we do, may You be glorified.
I Samuel 7:2-3 From the day that the ark was lodged at Kiriath-jearim, a long time passed, some twenty years, and all the house of Israel lamented after the Lord. And Samuel said to all the house of Israel, “If you are returning to the Lord with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your heart to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”
